10 security guards at a mall in Cheras has tested positive for Covid-19, Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said in the latest update at his press conference yesterday (7 May),
This new cluster involves nine Nepalese and one Malaysian.
Dr Noor Hisham said that the source of infection among those infected in the new cluster is still being investigated with testing being conducted on all workers and close contacts, reported the Ministry of Health.
He added that the nine Nepalese were staying around the area in Cheras.
Meanwhile, besides security personnel, all the workers of a supermarket in the mall are being screened.
The Ministry of Health has tested 436 people so far, with 10 testing postive and 347 testing negative. 79 people are still waiting for their results.
