A 17-year-old Malaysian was killed in a motorcycle crash in Johor after suffering severe head injuries. According to China Press, the victim, Brian Tan Kai Lun, succumbed to his injuries despite efforts to save him.

However, following the fatal accident, the victim was accused of riding against traffic, something that his grieving family strongly denied.

Previously, Johor Bahru South Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Raub bin Selamat said in a statement that both the victim and the other 23-year-old Malaysian rider in the accident were travelling from Stulang in Johor Bahru towards Skudai when they collided, lost control, and fell after the crash.

The victim’s parents rejected claims by a companion of the other rider involved, who accused their son of riding against traffic.

“Justice has finally been served for my son”

The father of the late teen later took to Facebook, saying justice has been served for his only son, as a video found by the police has now surfaced, proving his son’s innocence.

“My son died unjustly, and the suspect has also been detained. Finally, my son’s name is cleared. Rest in peace, my child. Dad loves you,” he wrote.

“The other rider parked my son’s motorcycle in the opposite direction”

Police investigations revealed that the companion of the motorcyclist had lied, falsely claiming that the accident happened because the deceased was riding in the wrong direction.

Meanwhile, Brian’s mother later alleged that after the accident, the suspect parked her son’s motorcycle in the opposite direction and blamed him for riding the wrong way.

“If my son hit someone from the opposite direction, how come he was lying backwards and to the right, while the motorcycle was parked facing the other way?” she questioned.
