We cannot deny how expensive raw materials are today, which is part of the reason why food vendors see no choice but to increase their prices. For instance, how much are you willing to pay for a pork dish?
Just recently, a frustrated Malaysian customer shared her experience of overpaying for Bah Kut Teh which she ordered from a food delivery application. In the Facebook group, the customer, Faye reminded all vendors to make the portion of their food worth the price. This came after Faye paid RM29.90 for a portion of Bah Kut Teh but given the price, she found only 3 pieces of meat in it.
“I asked for additional meat. If I didn’t, I might have gotten only 1 piece of meat.”
Faye also described the dish as “a leftover from another customer”, and asked the vendor to be more considerate in preparing food for customers. Based on the receipt, Faye got herself Bah Kut Teh soup, and Fried Dried Spicy Bah Kut Teh.
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Faye said that it was her 1st time ordering from the said restaurant, and it was also going to be her last.
“With the way you’re running your business, I won’t be returning. Others should be careful when visiting this place too.”
In the meantime, netizens were also shocked to see the price of the meal given the portion.
“These evil vendors always blame the rising price of pork, but they increase the price and decrease the portion.”
“This looks like leftover.”
“Should we start boycotting pork, now?”
“It looks like a leftover, and the boss makes money from this.”
