A recent study by the Dutch authority for nuclear safety and radiation protection (ANVS) has found that ‘Anti-5G’ pendants popularised by anti-vaxxers and used by them to ‘protect’ themselves from radio frequencies emitted by phone masts have the complete opposite effect. In fact, ANVS has found that the pendants are dangerously radioactive and can cause adverse health effects to those wearing them.

As reported by The Guardian, owners of ‘quantum pendants’ and other ‘negative ion’ jewellery have been advised to store them away as they have been found to continuously emit ionising radiation.

ANVS issued the warning in relation to 10 products. The statement further clarified,

“Due to the potential health risk they pose, these consumer products containing radioactive materials are therefore prohibited by law. Ionising radiation can damage tissue and DNA and can cause, for example, a red skin. Only low levels of radiation have been measured on these specific products,”

Furthermore, ANVS warned that wearing these products for a prolonged period could expose an individual to a level of radiation that exceeds the stringent limit for skin exposure that applies in the Netherlands. Hence, ANVS calls on owners of these products to stop wearing them immediately.

These ‘Anti-5G’ pendants and other similar products have started to emerged after a range of groups worldwide, especially anti-vaxxers have made unfounded allegations that the growing 5G internet infrastructures causes adverse health effects and a host of other conspiracy theories.

The misinformation about 5G internet has been so widespread that even the World Health Organisation (WHO) has had to come out with a statement saying that 5G is safe and that there is nothing fundamentally different about the physical characteristics of the radio signals produced by 5G compared with those produced by 3G and 4G.

Well, one information that is true is that these pendants are definitely dangerous. Please, if you own any of these bracelets, please stop wearing them, for your own safety.
