It almost seems like we can’t go one day without hearing news about how people lack all sense of compassion towards animals, with many instances of abuse and harm being committed upon our four-legged friends.
The incident had occurred in Kota Kemuning, Shah Alam where a 49-year-old housewife who often made a 6km journey to feed some stray dogs suddenly found 5 of the 15 dogs dead on Jalan Anggerik Mokara 31/57.
The carcasses of the dead dogs were left in horrible shape, with some of them covered in blood that leaked from their noses and ears. Three dead dogs were initially found on Sunday (27th October 2019), at around the usual time that the woman would go to feed them, with another two found by a Bangladeshi worker who informed her later on.
With the help of a friend, the woman buried the bodies of the 5 dogs and proceeded to lodge a police report. A witness at the scene said he heard loud noises, but could not determine if they were fireworks or the sound of a gun being fired.
According to Shah Alam OCPD Asst Comm Baharudin Mat Taib, initial investigations into the incident revealed no spent bullet casings at the scene, despite social media speculation that the animals were shot to death. The dogs were allegedly poisoned to death, according to a report by The Sun.
Police are presently on the lookout for the suspects involved in the brutal killing of the dogs, who are reported to have been seen travelling in a white Proton Saga BLM. ACP Baharudin also cautioned social media users against spreading unverified information of the incident.
For those of you who have further information about these brutal killings, please contact Insp Elaine Lee at 016-239 8565 or 03-5520 2222. We hope that those who committed these vile crimes will be brought to justice.
