55-year-old Malaysian Joanne Lam was crowned “Mrs Classic Global Asian 2024” recently at the Miss & Mrs Global Asian beauty pageant held at the Hyatt Place Kuala Lumpur, Bukit Jalil.
Joanne, a certified image consultant from Kuala Lumpur was among 25 contestants from 12 countries and territories competing in the pageant. These include contestants from Australia, Borneo, India, Indonesia, Japan, Thailand, the Philippines, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Myanmar and Malaysia.

In the Mrs Global Asian pageant, the Philippines’ Dyan Shane Mag Abo was crowned the Mrs Global Asian 2024 while as we mentioned above, Joanne won the Mrs Classic Global 2024.
Japan’s Chihiro Kobayashi was the 1st runner-up, Malaysia/Borneo’s Rosalinda Busrah the 2nd runner up and Malaysia’s Cikta Anori was the 3rd runner-up.
Joanne also won in various categories at the pageant, including Mrs Global Aura Ambassador, Darling of the Crowd and Best in Interview.

Miss & Mrs Global Asian 2024
The Miss Global Asian 2024 beauty pageant was also held concurrently with the Mrs Global Asian competition, hence the name “Miss & Mrs Global Asian 2024“.
Accordingly, Singapore’s Jesseca Long was crowned as the Miss Global Asian 2024, with the Philippines’ Hanna Theresa Cruz the first runner-up.

Held on 27 January 2024, this was the 2nd edition of the Miss & Mrs Global Asian beauty pageant and was organised by Malaysian pageant organisers Nickson Sim of Tiara Management from Kuching, Sarawak and Leo Raynold of Leading Management from Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
As shared by The Borneo Post, the Miss & Mrs Global Asian was established in 2023 to celebrate and recognise women of Asian descent worldwide. Moreover, the organisers also aim to provide a platform for Asian women to create their own path in making a positive change worldwide.
Sought to inspire others and show that age doesn’t matter
Speaking of being crowned Mrs Classic Global Asian 2024, Jaonne said that she was honoured to win at the platform that empowers women and promotes beauty with a mission.
She asserted,
“My aim is to inspire others by showing them that, no matter your age, you can make a difference.”
This wasn’t Joanne’s first involvement in beauty pageants too, as she previously represented Malaysia twice on the international stage. Besides that, she also received the “Woman in Business Award 2023” from the Federation of Business and Professional Women Malaysia.
