Humans have feelings, so do animals. We all deserved to be loved and cared.
Cats are one of the best companions in life when it comes to emotional support. Their soft and fluffy presence can heal you without even you realising. Of course, this is not just an assumption. It has been scientifically proven that cat owners do have a better psychological state than those without pets.
Recently, a Singaporean, Julie Chong took to her Facebook on 21 August to share how a blind cat (ChuChu) she adopted helps to calm down her son, Eden, who experiences mild ADHD (Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder). ADHD is a mental health disorder that affects a person’s attention and self-control, making it hard for him to stay focused.
Because of this disorder, Julie expressed how hard it can get to handle her son sometimes. However, despite being blind, ChuChu always manages to tackle such situations. She’ll be there for him whenever he needs her. It warms the heart to know the bond both of them share.
“Whenever he has his meltdown, ChuChu seems to know how to tackle the situation. So this time, I leave it to ChuChu to be there for him and slowly she makes her way to Eden.”
ChuChu was a stray cat. But now, she is a family to them. Julie also urged parents to teach their children how to treat the strays with kindness. Shower these animals with love and undeniably the kids will grow up to be more compassionate.
Spread kindness. Don’t keep it away from animals because they’re also a part of this world and need our care too.
