Not long ago, Anwar Ibrahim promised the people that he will not receive his salary if he becomes the country’s Prime Minister after GE15. This is due to the economic circumstances in the country right now, which he believes is not the right time for him to enjoy the full wage of a PM.

During a campaign last night (November 15), once again, Anwar urged fellow Malaysians to vote for Pakatan Harapan and let him become the PM of the country. This is because he wants to save the country’s economy so that the rising prices of goods will stop and the Ringgit Malaysia will not depreciate, reported Sin Chew.

To convince the people, he used the current PM and the previous PM as examples to justify his statements.

“When Muhyiddin was the PM, the Ringgit fell and the prices continuously increased. The same thing is happening now, with Ismail Sabri as the PM.”

He then continued,

“So let me be the PM, so that prices of goods will go down.”

In terms of his monthly wages as the PM (if PH wins GE15), he reminded the people that he will not be the only one who will not take the salary. Other ministers will also see at least a pay cut, and not only that but the number of ministers will also be reduced.

Anwar is contesting for seats in Tambun, Perak, and in the campaign last night, more than 1,000 people attended and listened to what the Chairman of PH had to say.

A few months back, the former Minister of Trade and Industry, Tan Sri Rafidah Aziz suggested that ministers should see a 20% cut from their salaries as a form of  “empathy” from the government.

Just last week, Lim Guan Eng, former Minister of Finance promised the abolishment of tolls on the North-South Highway if PH wins in the coming election.

Assuming PH does win the majority of the chairs and become government again, do you think all the manifesto and promises will be kept?
