While most of us were bored and wondering what to do during the Covid-19 lockdowns, others were spending their time so efficiently that they’re making waves.

A second-year MSc Biochermistry student from Kochi, India, won the world record at the Universal Record Forum after she completed 350 online courses during the last three months of the lockdowns there.

As according to the India Times, Arathi Reghunath, who is a student of MES College, registered, studied and completed courses from a variety of prestigious universities from across the globe, including John Hawkins University, University of Virginia, University of Colorado Boulder, University of New York, Technical University of Denmark and the University of Copenhagen, warranting her the world record.

“It was my faculty at my college who introduced me into the world of online courses. There is a range of courses online. All of them vary in duration and curriculum,” she said.

She shared that the secret behind her success is that she has great educators helping her.

“With the support of my college principal Ajims P Muhammed, Course coordinator Haneefa KG, and class tutor Neelima T K, I managed to finish the courses I signed up for within a few weeks,” she added.

It’s safe to say that she had truly made her parents and loved ones super proud, especially considering how she can finish a course in only weeks.

It’s amazing to see what people can accomplish when forced to stay at home.
