If you’re bored of the usual cocktail selections from your favourite bar or pub and you want to spice things up a little, here’s a place that not only serves up some uniquely handcrafted cocktails, but they even serve a cocktail that won the Bacardi Legacy award!
Yes, not only do you get to enjoy brand new tastes and concoctions, you get to experience the taste of an award-winning drink right here in KL too! Without further ado, here are some of the new, signature must-try cocktails from The Eighth Avenue in Publika:
1. First and foremost, the award-winning cocktail: Sex and the City
Ingredients: Bacardi, coconut, pandan, citrus, ginger, lime
Not only did this cocktail win the Bacardi Legacy award, it’s also made with some of Malaysians’ favourite ingredients! Definitely a must-try for all Malaysians (and fans of the TV series)!
2. The enchanting Magic Vodka Mint Crush cocktail
Ingredients: Vodka, crushed lime and mint
The only crush I need.
Prepare yourself for a truly magical sensation on your taste buds with this unique cocktail. Looks so pleasing too!
3. The mysterious-looking Mermaid Tears cocktail
Ingredients: Cinnamon whiskey, orange liqueur
You’ll probably shed some (happy) tears yourself when you get a sip of this gorgeous drink. It’s sweet to the tongue but awfully well-balanced at the same time.
4. The citrussy Birds of Paradise cocktail
Ingredients: Gin, raspberry, orange
A rare and unique combo but definitely a great drink for all you citrus fans out there. It also makes for a pretty refreshing pick-me-up when you need one!
5. Turn Up the Beet
Ingredients: Salted beetroot syrup, pineapple juice, orange juice
If you’re not a fan of alcohol or maybe you have zero alcohol tolerance and you’re looking for a fancy mocktail instead, this is the drink for you. This bright coloured beetroot-inspired mocktail offers an earthy and refreshing taste without compromising on looks – it sure makes for a pretty IG-worthy photo!
6. Turn a gloomy day into a bright and sunny one with the Capri Sun cocktail
Ingredients: Tequila, wine syrup, orange, yuzu
Another citrus and alcohol combo, this orange juice-looking cocktail is a great way to refresh your senses with a real kick thanks to the liquor!
7. Transport yourself to an island far, far away with a Beachside Daiquiri cocktail
Ingredients: Rum, lemon, coconut and pineapple
This sharp yet smooth cocktail sounds perfect for a day at the beach (no harm dreaming about it from the bar too) or maybe even as a sophisticated early evening drink.
8. Take it up a notch with the Golden Globe cocktail
Ingredients: Whiskey, mulled wine, and spiced honey
Not for the faint of heart, this power-packed punch will definitely get the party started in no time. If you’re a new drinker, this might not be the best option for you (yet).
9. Bury all your pain and sorrows with a Painkiller cocktail
Ingredients: Rum and coke reduction
Forget about your worries and your strife, and help yourself to a Painkiller instead! It’s guaranteed to take the pain away… temporarily.
We’re not sure about you, but it sure looks like there’s something for everyone with the upcoming launch of The Eighth Avenue’s new drinks (and food) menu! I know what I’m doing this weekend!
