A 7.7 magnitude earthquake struck Myanmar on Friday (March 27). More than 1,500 lives were lost, with many injuries reported, and one may wonder if the fatalities also happened in the hostel of the job scam syndicate, where many victims were trapped there and forced to scam others for a living.
According to the Public Relations Director of the Malaysian Humanitarian Organisation (MHO), the hostel, also known as KK Park, located in Myawaddy, Myanmar, is allegedly NOT affected by the quake.

Daniel Koo, the Public Relations Director of MHO, said according to one of the trapped Malaysian victims in KK Park, the area is barely affected by the disaster, and everyone in the place is working as usual. According to the victim, only a slight tremor was felt, and the day continued as usual for the job scam victims and syndicate, reported Sin Chew.
“He told me that he was hoping the quake would affect the place so that everyone could escape during the chaos.”
Daniel also shared that based on the video he received from the victim, the situation in KK Park seemed normal and almost unbothered by the quake that struck the country.
“Regardless, MHO is still doing its best to get in touch with the victims there to rescue them so they can reunite with their families as soon as possible.”
The strong quake was felt in many places, including Bangkok, Thailand and the Prime Minister immediately declared a state of emergency.
