In case you can’t find China Press on the Facebook search bar, that’s because the page for the newspaper outlet on the social media platform has been suspended.

China Press, in a statement this morning (August 25), confirmed the matter, saying that they have been in contact with relevant organisations, including Meta, to make an appeal to get their Facebook page back on track.

Not the first time the page has gone off the radar

Despite the suspension, China Press is not taking a break from delivering updated news to the reader. In its statement, China Press clarified that its daily operations are NOT affected, and readers can click on this link, which will direct the followers to the Facebook page of China Press Johor, where users can temporarily keep tabs on the news.

This is not the first time the publication outlet has navigated through the challenges in getting its Facebook page on track.

In June 2024, China Press had its Facebook page removed due to alleged violations. However, the page operated as usual 2 days later. At that time, China Press had a massive 2.5 million followers on Facebook, and the page today has over 2.6 million followers.

This time, however, the publication outlet did not reveal the cause behind the suspension. A quick search on Facebook revealed that China Press has regained access to its Facebook page, and the team is doing its best to deliver updated news through the main page.
