Following the start of the RMCO, these modes of transport are now allowed to operate in full capacity.
In a live press conference today (11th June), Defence Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri announced that several transportation vehicles will now be allowed to operate at full capacity.
Among the list of approved modes of transport that can operate on 100% capacity include:
- Express Buses
- Public Buses
- LRT, MRT, KTM and other railways
- Air travel (aeroplanes)
However, the Defence Minister stressed that social distancing rules and SOP guidelines will still apply.
“Companies in charge of express bus services will need to register the names of passengers. Drivers and passengers are to wear face masks at all times and bus drivers are expected to take the body temperature of every passenger on board. The bus will have to be sanitised after each trip.”
