Defence Minister: EMCO Will Be Enforced In Plaza Hentian Kajang & Flat Sg Emas
In today’s live press conference by Defence Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri, it was announced that Flat Sungai Emas and Plaza Hentian Kajang will be placed under EMCO (Enhanced Movement Control Order) starting tomorrow (28 October).
According to the minister, the decision was made based on KKM’s advice concerning the growing number of cases in both areas. The EMCO is expected to take place between the period of 28 October to 10 November. In Flat Sungai Emas, the particular areas placed under EMCO are Jalan Emas 31 and 32, Kuala Langat. As many as 684 residents have been tested for Covid-19.
“All residents are to follow the designated SOPs. Among the SOPs that will be enforced are residents are not allowed to freely enter or exit the area, affected sectors of the economy are not allowed to operate, recreational activities are not allowed to be held and all houses of worship are ordered to close in these areas.”
“For the full list of SOPs, citizens can refer to the information available on the National Security Council’s website,” added the minister.
