Defence Minister: Whole Of Sabah Placed Under CMCO Starting October 13 Until October 26

In his live updates today, Defence Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri announced that the whole of Sabah will be placed under Conditional Movement Control Order beginning on the midnight of 13 October 2020 due to the rising number of cases there.

Previously, there was already a TEMCO in a few districts and a district-travel ban imposed in Sabah. Some of the SOPs being practiced are:

  1. Inter-district travel is banned unless for workers who need to leave the district with a permission letter from their employee
  2. Only two people are allowed to leave the house only to get food and supplies
  3. All schools, universities, skill training centres, kindergartens, public parks and recreational centres are closed
  4. Mosques and non-islamic house of worships are closed
  5. Entertainment centres and night clubs will also be closed
  6. All social activities including weddings will not be allowed
  7. Markets and grocery stores will be opened from 6am to 6pm
  8. Restaurants as well will only be open these times but only limited to take-away or deliveries
  9. Taxis, e-hailing services and food delivery services are allowed from 6am to 6pm
  10. Petrol stations are only allowed to open from 6am to 6pm
  11. Express buses are not allowed to operate
  12. Pharmacies and medical stores are allowed to operate from 6am to 6pm
  13. Clinics and hospital are only to operate for 24 hours
  14. SME including farming and fishing are allowed to operate
