Defense Minister: CMCO To Be Implemented In Parit Buntar, Jimah & Rasau Starting 7 November

In a press conference today, Defence Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob announced that the authorities will be implementing the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) at three new locations in Malaysia, which are Parit Buntar (Perak), Jimah (Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan) and Rasau (Dungun, Terengganu).

The implementation will start from 7 November and will last until 20 November, unless the authorities see fit for it to be extended.

“We’re still in an unstable situation in the sense of the number of positive cases. There are places where the numbers have gone down, so we ended their CMCO, there are new places in which we’re announcing the implementation of their CMCO, it all means that we’re still in an unstable situation,” he said.

“Because of that, I hope that we don’t feel comfortable or complacent. We must make sure we adhere to the standard operating procedures (SOPs) set in place by the government, practice self-control for our own safety and the safety of our loved ones and the community,” he added.

Let’s do everything we can to cooperate with our government and adhere to the SOPs so that we can put an end to the Covid-19 pandemic in Malaysia, once and for all.
