“Don’t be afraid of Covid”, Donald Trump wrote in a Tweet adding that he will be leaving the Walter Reed Medical Center today (6 October) at 6.30pm.
The President of the United States and his wife, Melania Trump tested positive for Covid-19 four days earlier on 2 October and said that they will begin their quarantine and recovery process immediately.
In the Tweet, Trump also said that he is “feeling really good” and tells his followers not to let Covid-19 “dominate your life”.
“We have developed, under the Trump Administration, some really great drugs & knowledge,” he wrote.
“I feel better than I did 20 years ago!”
I will be leaving the great Walter Reed Medical Center today at 6:30 P.M. Feeling really good! Don’t be afraid of Covid. Don’t let it dominate your life. We have developed, under the Trump Administration, some really great drugs & knowledge. I feel better than I did 20 years ago!

Netizens were, of course, were not silent about Trump’s claims.
“Tell that to the 210,000 dead and their families,” one netizen said.
“Wouldn’t it be nice if everyone could get the same care you have received without having to pay a single dime? You love universal health care when it’s benefiting you, don’t you?”
Ever since Covid-19 broke out in America, Donald Trump hasn’t exactly been the best role model when it comes to dealing with the pandemic that has taken over 200,000 lives in the country.
He had often called Covid-19 a ‘Chinese virus’ and did not encourage the wearing of masks. He also said that Covid-19 will go away ‘like a miracle’ and that it affects ‘virtually nobody’, according to Herald Scotland.
During a campaign rally in Ohio on 21 September, Trump told his supporters:
“Now we know it. It affects elderly people. Elderly people with heart problems and other problems. But they have other problems, that’s what it really affects, that’s it.”
Being infected with Covid-19 is never a good thing. Nevertheless, we hope Trump recovers from Covid-19 and that he will not spread the virus to others in the mean time.
