“Social discipline is as high as 90% and we are seeing a recovery phase.”
“If the trend continues, we will suggest opening up more sectors and monitor the situation.”
This is certainly positive news for the country, especially in light of Malaysians adjusting and adhering to new norms since the extension of CMCO from May 4 to June 9. Though the fight is far from over, the Health D-G continued to remind people that the virus is still in the community.
“The virus is in the community, so it is important to plan how to live with the virus for two or three years until a vaccine or treatment is found.”
Adding that the curbing of the spread was not just the responsibility of the government but the general public as well.
“If all of us come together, we can break the chain of infection.”
Let’s ensure that we keep up the good work so that life can return to normal as soon as possible. Who knows, if things go well, we might be able to move freely again in the near future.
