The biggest let down for Sabahans has to be the moment when STAR president Dr Jeffery pledged to form an alliance with Sabah Barisan Nasional, as most of them had voted for the Pakatan Harapan pact consisting of Warisan, DAP, and PKR.
In fact, Tan Sri Musa Aman from BN has already been sworn-in as the Chief Minister of Sabah yesterday (10 May), but his position is not entirely secure yet as Dr Mahathir has now vowed to dismiss the polls in Sabah if corruption is found.

According to Malaysiakini, Dr Mahathir said the newly formed Pakatan Harapan federal government will not recognise the election result in Sabah if there was corruption involved.
“There is evidence that there were some manipulation (in the election), for example in Sabah. Warisan won 35 seats but the Election Commission kept recounting to reduce Warisan to 29 seats.
“Now they have a problem because they cannot form a government and there is an intention to get people to cross over using money (in Sabah),” Dr Mahathir said during a press conference.

FYI, the EC officially revealed that both BN and Warisan had won an equal 29 seats, and therefore, BN only got to form the state government after STAR chose to work with the party.
Responding to this issue, Dr Mahathir said that it’s acceptable for elected representatives to switch sides due to principles, but it’s definitely a corruption if it was done for financial reward.
Looks like not all hope is lost for Sabahans, as many actually wanted Warisan to form the state government. Let’s give the new federal government some time to carry out their investigation, shall we?
