Kuala Lumpur will not undergo a citywide lockdown during the 47th ASEAN Summit and its related events, but temporary road closures around the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) will be enforced to manage traffic flow, according to Minister of Communications Datuk Fahmi Fadzil.

“There will be no lockdown. Specific roads will be closed, and the affected routes have already been made public,” he said during the weekly post-Cabinet press briefing.

These measures will impact six major highways and 25 key roads across the capital.
