I think we can all agree that cheating during an exam is not a very good thing.
This lecturer, however, decided to kill 2 birds with 1 stone by asking his students to create an agriculture-themed anti-cheating helmet for them to use during their written exams.
Angelo Ebora, an agriculture lecturer at the Batangas State University Lobo Campus (located in the northern Philippines) went viral when he posted pictures of his students wearing their anti-cheating helmets.
In the post, we can see that his students were really creative as they turned up in elaborate headgear: someone wore a chainsaw man hat, a box painted to look like Pikachu, rice cookers or even just plain old cardboard boxes.
Ebora shared with the Filipino Television Network News 5 that he suggested doing so to alleviate some of the stress that his students may be facing due to the exams while maintaining academic integrity.
As this might burden some who are already stressed, Ebora did not make it compulsory but he did mention that coming with an anti-cheating helmet will allow them to get an extra 5 marks on their exams.
At first, Ebora thought that the reception would just be lukewarm, so he was surprised to see that almost 70 students turned up with their custom headgear.
“I was also very proud of them,” said Ebora to ABS-CBN News.
