Football Superstar Cristiano Ronaldo Tests Positive For Covid-19 During The UEFA Nations League

The Portuguese football sensation, Cristiano Ronaldo has tested positive for Covid-19. According to Mirror, he is feeling well and is not seen to be suffering from any major symptoms.

The rest of the Portugal team, fortunately, tested negative after the test results came back. Ronaldo is currently in self-isolation and will be missing the match against Sweden tomorrow (15 October).

Portugal’s Football Federation said “Cristiano Ronaldo was released from the work of the National Team after a positive test for COVID-19, so he will not face Sweden.”

They also said that following the positive case, the rest of the team underwent new tests on Tuesday (13 October) morning with negative results.

Ronaldo is currently with the Portuguese national squad playing in the Nations League. He played the full 90 minutes during Sunday’s clash against France which resulted in a 0-0 draw.

News about him testing positive for Covid has been widely reported on Twitter.
