Earlier, Malaysians online called out PAS after spotting a mistake on an event teaser poster shared by Terengganu Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Ir Dr Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar.

PAS Terengganu later apologised publicly for the design blunder on the “Himpunan Teguh Memimpin Terengganu (TMT) 2025” event poster, which showed a Malaysian flag with an 11-point star, instead of a 14-point star.

“Their citizenship should be revoked”

While many, including UMNO Youth Chief Dr Akmal Saleh, have shared their opinions on the matter, it didn’t take long for others to share their thoughts online too.

In response to the incident, former Selangor Exco Teng Chang Khim took to Facebook to slam the party, calling them “traitors.”

He went on to say their citizenship should be revoked after they used a flawed version of the Jalur Gemilang in their logo.

According to Kwong Wah, the Jalur Gemilang in the party’s logo had an 11-point star and 12 stripes, which is less than the official 14-pointed star and 14 stripes.

“PAS are traitors”

Chang Khim’s “traitor” remark was allegedly a jab at the party for previously slamming a local Chinese newspaper over an incomplete illustration of the Jalur Gemilang on its front page, which was missing the crescent moon.

“PAS are traitors. They don’t even recognise the national flag. Their citizenship should be revoked. Shameful. Unforgivable,” he wrote.

At the time, PAS Youth chief Afnan Hamimi said in a statement that the paper’s removal of the crescent moon couldn’t be brushed off as a simple “technical error” and called it an act of betrayal that shouldn’t be forgiven.

However, in their apology, PAS blamed the mistake on a “technical error” and released a revised version of the logo with the correct elements of the national flag restored.
