The police are still searching for another suspect who is still at large. Although not physically there, he was also charged for the murder at the same court proceeding today. Hopefully the police will catch him soon!
All suspects were charged under Section 302 of the Penal Code, which carries a death penalty sentence if found guilty.
The victim, a 32-year-old from Sabah was declared deceased at the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital (HTAR) Klang on December 13.
Reports from the autopsy revealed that there were 32 different injuries on the victim’s body, including a cracked skull and internal bleeding in the brain.
According to the police, it is believed that the victim was brutally beaten to the brink of death with a blunt object after being accused of stealing a mobile phone from one of the suspects in November. Klang Selatan police chief Assistant Commissioner Shamsul Amar Ramli has earlier denied the case being a hate crime against LGBT.
For such a grievous crime, no bail was granted and the court has set the case mention for January 30 next year.
