“There’s a special place in hell for this father,” said a netizen after learning that a Malaysian father heartlessly chased all his children out of the house just because he wants to sell it.

This issue was posted on Facebook by a netizen named Syed Azmi who hopes the post will garner Malaysians’ attention to help these siblings who are staying in Selangor. It was understood that the father had earlier divorced the mother and had since remarried, leaving his first family high and dry.

What’s more unfortunate was that the mother passed away shortly before Hari Raya in 2018 and their 23-year-old daughter had no choice but to become the sole breadwinner for the family. She works as a promoter with an income of RM1,400 while the eldest son, 22, stays at home to take care of their younger siblings who are still in school.

Notably, the children are all still pretty young – here’s how old each of them are:

  • 23-year-old daughter
  • 22-year-old son
  • 18-year-old son who has just finished his SPM
  • 13-year-old daughter
  • 9-year-old daughter
  • 8-year-old son
  • 7-year-old son

Due to the mother’s untimely departure, the siblings except for the eldest daughter had moved to stay with their grandmother. Sadly, the grandmother had recently requested the siblings to move back with their eldest sister as the senior citizen couldn’t afford to take care of them anymore. Besides, the siblings would often get scolded by two of their aunts who also stayed with them, making the living environment not very conducive for the kids.

It seems like these kids just can’t catch a break either, because out of nowhere, the estranged father showed up and wanted to sell the house that was registered under joint names with their mother. So, he has asked all his children to vacate the house even though he is well aware that they’d be homeless if he does so.

Since the situation is getting more and more complicated, Syed Azmi has recommended the eldest sister to look for a place to rent in Kajang and also seek a lawyer to handle the sale of their house. Other assistance that the siblings require include;

  • Transferring the siblings to another school
  • The 18-year-old brother needs to get a driving license for work
  • The 22-year-old brother is also seeking employment

Although the eldest daughter is currently receiving financial aid from the government, it’s not enough to cover all the siblings’ expenditure. If you’d like to help them in any way, please contact Syed Azmi via his mobile at 016-2184759 or through his Facebook account.
