A child deserves safe shelter, enough food, and love from parents. An unfortunate 13-year-old from Johor, however, doesn’t have that luxury.
He was chased away from the house and told by his parents to sleep in the corridor of the flat in Pasir Gudang, Johor. A neighbour of the family revealed that the situation has been going on for a long year.
The worst thing about the situation is that the kid had no choice but to defecate at the staircase of the flat because he was not allowed into the house, according to a post in the Facebook group Komuniti Taman Air Biru.
“He had to shower in the public restroom at the food court and eat alone in the corner,” said another neighbor in a report by Kosmo.
The neighbour had no idea why the poor young soul received such inhumane treatment from his parents because the kid was NOT a problematic child. Despite his fate, he still goes to school every day, and his parents hand him his uniform through the spaces between windows. The rest is up to the kid’s will and effort.
Another neighbour also said that out of sympathy, other neighbours often give the kid some food, which he gladly receives.
“He had to eat the food someplace far and in discreet. He was afraid to let his parents find out about the food.”
The unfortunate kid is the last child in the family, and he has 2 other older siblings.
As of the time of writing, the PDRM has since detained the parents and questioned them for investigation, as reported by Astro Awani.
We sincerely hope the kid will have the comfortable life he deserves and that action will be taken against the parents.
