Before you’re officially married, a wedding photoshoot usually comes first and those who are adventurous will usually find ways to make the photoshoot unique and different.

A couple in Indonesia wanted a “fiery and smoky” wedding photoshoot but unfortunately, they disregarded the safety of that. It’s not a bad thing when creativity comes kicking in but when your “wants” are prioritised, that’s when danger lurks. In a clip shared on the X page of Genvoice, an area known as Teletubbies Hill at the Mount Bromo National Park is seen on fire after the couple’s attempt for a “unique” wedding photoshoot.

They came up with the idea to take the wedding pictures using flares. Due to the lack of safety measurements, 50 hectares of the area were destroyed by the fire.

Sadly, when the fire broke out, the couple and the film crew did not do anything about it and went about their business.

The groom, who is a wedding planner has since been arrested by the police in Indonesia. According to the police, none of them obtained permit to enter the Mount Bromo conservation area.

“One needs to pay the price to enter the area and any equipment brought into the area have to be declared,” the police said.

It took the firefighters days to extinguish the blazing fire which caused an uproar among many Indonesians, and possibly Malaysians too. Does this imply a pending hazy season for us again?

Additionally, police said the man will be charged with causing a fire, and he is facing up to 5 years of prison, as well as a fine of 1.5 billion rupiah (RM456,000) if convicted.

In case you’re wondering about the outcome of the wedding photo shoot, here’s what they look like.

You can watch the clip of the fire here and how the group of people ignored the disaster.

A wedding photoshoot happens only once in your life (unless you get married again), but that doesn’t mean you have to ignore the safety around you to get the best results.
