Due to the dismissal of former PKR Vice President Zuraida Kamaruddin from the party, PKR currently does not have an elected representative in the Ampang Parliamentary seat.

The Ampang and Gombak Parliamentary seats have become the centre of the public’s attention, especially now that their representative is under the Perikatan Nasional (PN) ruling party.

Let just say that both the parliamentary seats do not have any elected representatives from PKR yet since both of the incumbents joined Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu).

Although, it is believed that the 15th General Election (GE-15) can happen any time now, the replacement for both parties remain unclear.

However, there’s a rumour on Twitter saying that the former chairman of National Film Development Corporation Malaysian (Finas), Datuk Hans Isaac is a possible candidate for the Ampang parliament seat. Nonetheless, he still hasn’t issued any statement regarding this matter.

According to his meeting with Astro AWANI, he doesn’t have any rights to talk about that matter, it is up to the party and the local community whether they want to elect him as a candidate or not. His main objective now is to focus on providing assistance in terms of help and aid to the community in Ampang along with his crew, Kami Budak Ampang.

Regardless of those rumours, Hans Isaac is actively working with his NGO to go down to the field and help the people around Ampang who are affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. He recently posted about his non-governmental organization (NGO) Kami Budak Ampang, on Instagram and went down to Kuala Langat to distribute aid and supplies to the victims of the recent flash floods.

Hans Isaac and his crew sent supplies of necessities and food to the Hulu Langat Aid Center. He thanked all the contributors who have jointly contributed to Kami Budak Ampang to help those in need.

He said his team known as “Kita Budak Ampang” focused on social programs to help the community there and they appreciated all the support and assistance extended. However, he said, Malaysia’s mainstream politics needed new leadership as it seemed to be dominated by many older politicians.

“We have the same old individuals in the political arena and that is why Malaysians are not interested in politics.”

“We need change for a brighter future but it is our responsibility to choose and make those changes.”

Apart from helping his own production crew, Hans Isaac also helps any community in Ampang as he thinks that is one of the corporate responsibilities (CSR).
