Like most popular mega structures in the world, there is an innate need amongst its owners to keep it clean and best in looks.

Let us tell you, it is difficult to keep things prim and proper. Taking to Facebook, Malaysia’s most successful football team (in the Super League era) Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT), shared how things are done down south, in keeping their home ground, Sultan Ibrahim Stadium, battle ready.

Here is a video of their cleaning process.

Located in Iskandar Putri, JDT’s current stadium is named after the current Sultan of Johor. With a capacity of 35,000 fans, 25 Presidential Suites, 402 business seats, cleaning it is not easy!

The roof alone, which can be seen in the cleaning process, rests on 56 arched trusses, supported by primary concrete structures that are white and exposed to the elements.

Garnering more than 6.2k likes and 74k views, fans of JDT commended its efforts to keep their hallowed ground in tiptop shape not only because it is their home ground for local football but also for games involving Asia’s biggest names.

As football clubs reach heights that were simply impossible a few years ago, let’s hope that clubs like JDT will be seen as a benchmark for others to emulate.
