Bukit Aman’s investigations on several officers and policemen who were reported to be protecting illegal gambling premises around Sungai Buloh lead to the arrest of four Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) enforcement officers were arrested by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) on 11 August.

The arrests are not over as MACC just arrested the Director of the MBSA Enforcement Department to assist in the investigation into the case of protecting illegal business premises and gambling centres.

According to Harian Metro, the arrest of the 59-year-old was done at the MACC headquarters in Putrajaya at 10am today morning. He will be arraigned in the Putrajaya Magistrate’s Court tomorrow for a remand application under Section 117 of the Criminal Procedure Code.

The arrest was confirmed by Deputy Chief Commissioner (Operations) Datuk Ahmad Khusairi Yahaya but he refused to make any further comments.
