However, following Sarawak, Kedah Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir has revealed that the state will not be implementing the conditional MCO on the proposed date and will only decide after discussing with the state’s Covid-19 special security meeting on Tuesday (May 5). He explained, as reported by The Star,

“The state government will scrutinise the requirements and guidelines of the conditional MCO announced by the Federal Government.”

Mukhriz also said that the state government will go through the details thoroughly to ensure the implementation of the conditional MCO is suitable for Kedah.
