The fact that it was a high profile murder and how the assassination was carried out had everyone digging for more clues, while his family also received a lot of attention. Bet you didn’t know he had a son!

In 2012, one of Jong Nam’s sons, Kim Han Sol was interviewed by Elisabeth Rehn, a former UN member. The young man had spoken in fluent English throughout the whole episode. Even better than the interviewer’s English leh…

He spoke of his life in North Korea and how his life is after he left.

“Growing up, it was very isolated. First of all, (it is) to keep a low profile. That’s why I didn’t have a lot of childhood friends.”

At the tender age of 17 during the interview, he showcased a beautiful understanding of diversity and the importance of peace.

“I would like to engage in more humanitarian projects, work to contribute to building world peace, especially back home because that is a really important part of me.”

Of course, being the son of someone so influential is not as amazing as one would imagine.

“The journey was a huge pressure because of the medias following me. I didn’t know how to describe that feeling. It was the first time ever that I had that kind of pressure. Constant camera flashes and everything like that.”

The young man also expressed how guilty he felt for always having enough food to eat while his own people were all starving.

In part 2 of the video, which has since been removed by YouTube, BBC reports that Han Sol was very pro-reunification between North and South Korea.

“I’ve always dreamed that one day I would go back and make things better and make it easier for the people there.”

Besides, he has expressed his major dislike towards Jong Un and his way of governing the country on his social media multiple times.

Although saying such things about his own home country would mean putting his life at risk, Han Sol bravely defied his uncle’s regime anyways.

In a more personal part of his, growing up, he expressed how he never got to meet his grandfather, even though he really wanted to.

“I was actually waiting for him… till before he passed away, hoping he would come find me, because I really didn’t know if he knew that I existed.”

In the end, Han Sol never got to meet his grandfather at all.

As netizens from around the world witnessed this guy’s eloquent speech, many felt that he should be the next supreme leader of North Korea.

Everyone felt that Han Sol possessed more kindness, sympathy, intelligence, bravery, and all sorts of good qualities compared to his uncle, Jong Un.

I mean, he seriously is charming.
