A shocking incident took place in Bidor, Perak earlier today after a KK Mart convenience store was thrown with a petrol bomb.
Thankfully, no one was injured as the petrol bomb only landed in the open space in front of the store and didn’t explode.
A petrol bomb was thrown at the KK Mart outlet at around 5am
As reported by China Press, the incident took place at around 5am today at the KK Mart convenience store at Jalan Mosi in Bidor.
During the incident, employees of the convenience store were working inside when the unknown perpetrator threw the petrol bomb at the store.
Following this, the KK Mart employees immediately reported the incident to the police, which rushed to the scene to investigate.
In the China Press report, the publication shared several photos of the KK Mart in question following the attack.

Perak Police statement on the incident
The Royal Malaysia Police’s (PDRM) Perak contingent has since released a statement on the incident, which included a CCTV footage of the vehicle being used by the perpetrator.
In the statement, CP Perak Police Chief Dato’ Sri Mohd Yusri bin Haji Hassan asserted that the incident took place at around 5.35am today, with the police receiving a police report from one of the KK Mart workers at around 8.49am today.
Based on the CCTV footage, the perpetrator drove a car with tinted windows before disembarking and throwing the petrol bomb.
The case is currently being investigated under Section 247 of the Penal Code, with PDRM urging those with information to report to the nearest police station.

Recently, KK Mart has been the subject of boycott and scrutiny by the Malaysian public recently after the convenience store was found to have sold socks with the word ‘Allah’ on it, something that is considered gravely offensive by Muslims.
KK Mart has since issued a public apology over the incident but calls for a boycott and investigation by the police persist.
Today, as reported by Sinar Harian, KK Super Mart & Superstore Sdn Bhd founder and CEO Datuk Seri Dr Chai Kee Kan and his wife Datin Seri Loh Siew Mui were charged in the Shah Alam Sessions Court for their link to the distribution and sale of the offensive socks.
They were both charged under Section 298 of the Penal Code for intentionally wounding the religious feelings of others.
As for the petrol bomb attacks, let’s hope that PDRM will find the perpetrator as soon as possible.
