Aside from Kota Kinabalu, Penampang and Putatan will also be placed under the CMCO in view of the current Covid-19 situation in the state. According to the minister’s Facebook post, entry into these three areas will be forbidden. Those working in these selected areas are not allowed to work in the premise as long as the CMCO is still in effect. Employers must comply with this order and allow their employees to work from home.

He also added that admission into Sabah is said to be banned to all except Sabahans, passport holders issued by the Sabah State Immigration Department located in the Peninsula, Sarawak and the Federal Territory of Labuan, and those working in essential services.

Several other SOPs include a two-person limit for those who need to go out of their houses to buy essential goods, a 6:00 am – 6:00 pm limit on operation hours of businesses, and the banning of all social activities, sports, recreation, and religious events.

Do alert those affected in the area! Stay safe and stay informed.
