Malaysians are indeed blessed with medical treatment that is cheap and plentiful.
But with the advent of COVID-19, treatment at the emergency room of government hospitals are at a premium resulting in congestion, especially for medical attention.
While most are able to understand the long waiting time at the ER, one Malaysian however could not hold her peace and took to social media to vent her frustrations.
In a video which went viral, here is what she had to say.
Clearly perturbed with what she had to go through, this lady lamented the fact that she had to wait hours to receive treatment.
Of course, anyone who’s sought treatment at government hospitals can relate to the long waiting time, but it is no reason to be angry or to even throw racial slurs while saying your piece.
This did not go down well with netizens.
One netizen took to Twitter and complained about the angry lady’s video in his tweet. He writes, “Please do not make my race a disgrace, can or not? Do you know that everyone is working hard for you? It was never a racial issue, to begin with. So watch your mouth.”
Having retweeted the video, several netizens have stepped up to the plate slamming the lady for her outburst.

“You are still able to walk and speak to others on social media. This shows that your case is not urgent. Your case is not considered a priority compared to what others are facing whilst waiting for treatment at the ER.”

“My baby had to wait two to three hours just to check for jaundice. I guess this aunt has never been to a government hospital before. Everyone has to wait, not only you.”
It is clear that this aunty needs to take a chill pill, so let’s hope others out there will be a little more understanding when seeking treatment at the ER, especially during the COVID-19 outbreak.
