The world may be beautiful but it is also home to some potentially scary and dangerous situations.
For instance, citizens of Shenyang City, China had the fright of their lives on 3 August when lightning hit high voltage lines, causing a fireball of sparks that could be seen across the city.
CGTN took to their Twitter page to showcase the insane footage.

They wrote, “A terrifying moment was captured on camera when lightning hit high voltage lines in China’s Shenyang City on Monday afternoon, causing giant sparks. No casualties were reported.”
In the video, the high voltage lines that were hit could possibly have been attached to a high rise building and were near roads and shrubbery. Luckily, no fires have been reported.
And thankfully, no one was hurt by the incident.
Could you imagine the fright anyone would have had when that happened in front of them? We certainly can’t.
The high voltage lines could have possibly been working as lightning rods, carrying the lightning current into the ground, though they were clearly not placed there for that reason.
We’re so happy nothing bad happened out of that scary incident.
