Recently, an elderly couple from Japan awed the world when their Instagram account went viral on social media.
This lovey dovey couple tied the knot on 11 May 1980 and has never left each other’s side ever since, according to Sinchew.
The couple who’s in their 60’s now, has set up an Instagram account, bonpon511, to update their 74k followers with fashion tips.
They probably have more followers than you and me added together!!
Their Instagram account name wasn’t randomly picked either. They have put some thoughts into it.
Apparently, ‘bon’ and ‘pon’ were the pet names they gave each other when they were young, while the ‘511’ is their wedding anniversary date. How sweet is that!
And their Instagram game is pretty strong too! Their posts were equipped with all the important tags such as ‘ootd’, ‘instafashion’, ‘instaoutfit’ and ‘instagramjapan’.
Despite being married for 37 years, they were able to keep their relationships ‘fresh’, which most young couples failed at it after months of being together.
The couple revealed that whenever they have an outing, they would spend some time and effort into their clothing choices to match each other’s clothes. And the end-result was nothing short of sweet and loving.
Maintaining a low profile while being fashionable at the same time is what they go for. And judging from the pictures they’ve uploaded, they’ve certainly nailed it! In fact, their fashion sense is better than mine!
Their followers were inspired and amazed by their impeccable fashion sense and their loving attitude.
“This must be the sweetest couple ever. They’re coordinating their outfits!” said a netizen.
“XXX, that is how we would look like in about 37 years,” commented another netizen after tagging her boyfriend.
Now who said aunties and uncles can’t be fashionable? So guys, feel free to drop by bonpon511 and check out this cute couple!
