The Putrajaya MRT line experienced a 2-hour delay this morning (31 October), due to a man dressed in a red shirt who trespassed onto the MRT line’s tracks.

According to a report by China Press, the man not only trespassed onto the tracks at the Taman Equine MRT Station in Seri Kembangan at about 8am, but was also seen sitting precariously at the top of the barriers by the tracks.

It is said that Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) officers, firefighters, as well as MRT station staff had to work together to persuade the man to come down safely.

RapidKL took to its Facebook page to confirm that there was a delay to the Putrajaya MRT line schedule due to the trespassing incident, causing them to activate alternative train and bus services. They later shared an update that they are back on schedule as the man had been apprehended.

“The intruder has been apprehended, and train services have resumed. Alternative train services and shuttle buses have been discontinued. Train frequency is currently being adjusted, and the service schedule will return to normal shortly,”

“We apologise for the inconvenience caused. Thank you for your patience.”
