Now that lockdowns are no longer an option, we all have to take the initiative and be disciplined in adhering to the SOPs so as to keep the Covid-19 numbers down.

That also means that we should avoid crowds by all means necessary.

The Kerian InfoZone Channel Facebook page shared a video showcasing a traffic jam at the Ban Pecah beach in Perak, in which the jam indicates massive crowds of people visiting the beach.

They wrote, “Ban Pecah beach was flooded with visitors this afternoon (16 January – Saturday). People could be seen bringing their families for some recreational time at the beach.”

“In times of happiness, let’s still not forget to adhere to SOPs.”

In the video, cars can be seen stuck in a bumper to bumper traffic jam due to vehicles parked by the roadside and the sheer amount of people heading to the beach.

Motorcyclists can be seen riding against traffic, in between cars, without their face masks on!

While some netizens were happy that they opted out of going to the beach, others feared that SOPs have gone out the window.

“Luckily we didn’t go earlier.”

“Better not to go. Looking for traffic jam for what.”

“There you go, even a sardine can would lose.”

“Where are the SOPs?”

We should all be working together to prevent another potential outbreak and we can do this by avoiding crowds.

If you see massive groups of people at the location you want to go to, consider going another day for you’ll never know what could happen in a climate like this.

What would you do if you saw such a crowd at the beach you wanted to go to? Let us know in the comment section.
