Football fans around the world are definitely keeping tabs on the football match – Qatar Asia Cups 2023 which kickstarted recently, and is expected to go on until February 10.
Some hardcore fans, including Malaysians, also have the luxury of catching the match live in Qatar itself, according to a viral post by @chalzrafael84. A group of Malaysian supporters took the liberty to show support to Malaysian players before the match between Malaysia and Jordan started by playing Kompang around the stadium.
Harimau Malaya got some Kompang performance to boost their morale before they “attacked” the opponent on the football field.
In the viral clip, the performers were seen and heard cheering around the grounds of Al Janoub Stadium, Qatar to show their support. And the best part?
The local community in the area joined the Malaysian crowds by showing their support too, and the area was echoed with the support and singing of the group of people! The public and the local community also did not miss the opportunity to watch the wave of supporters who cheered excitedly for Malayan Tigers. Some of the hardcore supporters even waved the Malaysian flag – Jalur Gemilang around the area not only to show support but also love to the country.
The Malayan Tigers, however, lost to Jordan with a 4-0 score. Despite the defeat, it did not stop the Malaysian supporters to show their love and support to the team. Did you manage to catch the football match live last night?
