Malaysians are notorious for their parking antics as some of us just love to park rather haphazardly sometimes while keeping an eye out for the authorities.
Most of the time, this would result in you getting your car clamped or even getting towed away which gives you another headache! Just park properly next time, okay?
Recently, some photos uploaded by a netizen began to circulate after he took photos of what he did to his car when his tyre got clamped for parking illegally. It was not clear where the incident took place, but when he came back to his car, he was shocked to find that his tyre was clamped.
Instead of doing what any law abiding citizen would do and contact the authorities to unlock his car, he decided to do things his own way. Apparently he said that he “did not feel like paying the clamping fine that day and would take the clamp back home for memories.” Really, bro?
Unbelievably, he actually took out the whole tyre along with the clamp and placed it in his back seat! He even used a pair of slippers to make sure that the clamp did not dirty his seats! Netizens who saw the photos were mindblown but they condemned the man’s actions, saying that he was stupid and making the situation worse.
Usually, the clamping fine would be around RM100 to RM150, but because he removed the clamp, this would actually cost him much more as he was considered to be damaging public property. The maximum fine for damaging public property is actually RM2,000 which is definitely a lot more!
One netizen said, “I have seen lot of cars that get clamped by the authorities and they always take photos of the car first. Within a certain period, if the summon or unlocking process hasn’t been done, they will INVITE the driver to the court to surrender. So don’t think you are being a hero by removing the lock. Good luck.”
Meanwhile, others said that this was a just punishment for simply parking his car and flouting the law.
