Individuals who took the MRT and the KTM on 27 May 2021 are urged to get a swab test immediately as a passenger who was on those trains has tested positive for Covid-19.

@_hanemazman shared on Twitter that she was on the MRT (Bukit Bintang-Kajang) at about 6.40pm and on the KTM (Kajang-Seremban) at about 7.26pm.

When asked why she decided to get tested, she told WORLD OF BUZZ that she was feeling sick on Thursday (27 May) and experienced symptoms like flu and sore throat.

Living in Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan, she travels every day using public transport, namely KTM, Monorail and MRT to her office at Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur.

On Friday (28 May), she said she didn’t go to her office as she had body aches and went to the Port Dickson Health Clinic where she was given a blue quarantine wristband to wear.

She also told WORLD OF BUZZ that her company asked that she and her colleagues do a swab test but did not give them any leave or MC to do so.

She said that in her initial swab test, she tested negative.

However, some of her colleagues began experiencing symptoms as well, with four of them testing positive for Covid-19 and are now being quarantined at MAEPS, Serdang.

Rapid KL has since issued a public statement urging passengers who took the MRT and KTM on 27 May to get tested.
