Many of us are still striving to achieve our dreams and are working hard to make steps towards achieving it. However, for some, their dream might be quite a struggle due to financial constraints.

Fortunately enough for 22-year-old Malaysian Krithin Paul Pereira, he was able to achieve one of his lifelong dreams with the help of German sportscar manufacturer Porsche after they flew him out to Germany to give him a special tour of their design studio.

In a video that was uploaded to Porsche’s official social media pages yesterday (March 19), the manufacturer shared Krithin’s experience of travelling almost 10,000 km from his home in Kuala Lumpur to Porsche in Weissach with his parents where he got the opportunity to meet designers and see Porsche sports cars, which have fascinated and motivated him for years.

Speaking to Porsche’s in-house magazine, 9:11, Krithin’s mother, Ashita Pereira, recalled how the first 3 months of his life were spent trying to survive as an infant due to his condition.

“We fought for his life for months. Krithin is still fighting to this day, as he refuses to simply accept his fate. He firmly believes that everyone has problems. And even if his is bigger, it shouldn’t get in the way of making his dreams come true.”

His father, Jackson Pereira could be seen pushing his son in his wheelchair through the design studio’s display area, with a towering, life-size model of a 911 GT3 in the center. As soon as he saw this, Krithin laughs and shrieks with joy and his father places his hand on his shoulder, knowing what this day means to his son.

“He’s been waiting such a long time. It’s unbelievable to see.”

As he met up with Porsche designers Stéphane Lenglin and Tobias Benedini, Krithin reaches for his pen. Pereira and spends a few minutes sketching a sports car on his lap, which he presents to the fascinated design professionals.

“His creativity is so unique. He gets the proportions specific to the models just right. It’s extraordinary. As a designer, I’m really impressed by his skills,” said Stéphane Lenglin.

The video then ends with Porsche arranging for Krithin’s first-ever ride in a Porsche 911 GT3 Touring, on the historic Hokenheimring racetrack.

Whilst strapped in the seat of a new 911 GT3 RS, Krithin appeared to be overjoyed as he enjoyed the thrill of being driven in one of the carmaker’s most powerful production models.

Love for Porsche

Krithin has worked hard to earn this praise as he began drawing Porsche vehicles in 2018 after being inspired by his older sister, who was studying architecture at the time.

His passion for cars has even inspired him to visit the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart, Germany in 2018.

He has achieved several milestones in his art career to date, including creating a live painting of a Porsche car in collaboration with the brand. In 2021, his family self-published an illustrated book about his love for Porsche.

Krithin looks forward to designing a luxury electric sports car for differently abled people one day.

“From the age of 13, Krithin has always dreamed of working for Porsche. Imagination is what keeps his dreams alive, and he dreams of building a car that would be comfortable for differently abled people to move around in, like everyone else.”

He is currently enrolled in the automotive course at Young Aces Technical College in Kuala Lumpur. He is also pursuing a Diploma programme with the International Motor Industry, UK (IMI) and hopes to eventually study automotive design and engineering.

Kudos to Porsche for making Krithin’s dream come true! We’re glad to see that he enjoyed his experience at Porsche’s design studio.
