Besides that, PLUS Malaysia also announced that those who are residing or working or studying in Penang can also enjoy 20% discount for the toll at the Penang Bridget Toll Plaza.

For private vehicles, this 20% discount is applicable for road users who are using RFID or debit or credit cards to make payments.

Meanwhile, for company vehicles, the discount is only applicable with payments made using Touch ‘n Go cards.

In order to enjoy this 20% discount, eligible Penang residents, either for private or company vehicles, can apply  via the “Jimat di Penang” microsite here.

Awesome! Let’s hope that the Open Payment System would be extended to all toll plazas nationwide soon and we can’t wait for Malaysia to eventually transition to barrier-less toll plazas in the future.
