We’re sure most of us have experienced this when we go on holidays with our family.
Just recently, a Malaysian family went to a famous five-star hotel in Port Dickson for a vacation. However, they brought multiple people with them on the trip, more than the allowed amount. In addition to that, these people brought their own blankets and a range of electronic cookware such as portable mini cookers.
This incident was spread across social media platforms as it went viral through this page. A series of photos were shown and the caption reads:
“This hotel is a five-star hotel and it’s giving out a discounted price right now. However, it’s still a hotel and not a homestay.”
After the incident, the hotel is now enforcing very strict rules by spot-checking the customers when they check-in.
The person then clarified that the maximum amount of people in a room in that hotel is seven people. The first four people are already included in the room charge and for the rest, additional charges will be incurred.
It is also said that they brought many different electronics, mainly for cooking such as slow cookers, rice cookers and others.
The person then explained the reason why no cooking is allowed in hotel rooms.
“If you cook in a hotel room, the smell will stick on the curtain, pillow, bed, etc. To get rid of the smell will require additional costs on the hotel’s part, if not the next customer will complain.”
Well, vacations are supposed to be happy, comfortable and relaxing for everyone involved. If a hotel is out of your budget then day trips are awesome too!
