A foreign couple on a Penang road recently got Malaysians’ attention both online and in real life, where they “performed” stunts in the middle of the road and allegedly asked for money from those watching from their cars.

In a video circulating on X, the couple was seen performing stunts at traffic light junctions while cars stopped at the red lights. The nationality of the two individuals was not disclosed.

According to the caption in the video, the couple allegedly expected to be paid for the “show”.

Social media users were not happy to see this

Many netizens called for strict action against foreigners who do as they please.

However, one netizen claimed to have seen some drivers in Penang happily handing out red packets to the couple.

“I went to Penang recently during CNY. I saw many Chinese drivers give them Angpows and thumbs up. Such white-worshippers.”

“Do they think Malaysia is like other countries? We don’t entertain roadside shows.”

“Why are the police not taking action? Where were the police on patrol?”

“What a weak enforcement of laws in my country.”

“Please, Immigration or anyone. Please stop this. We have too many foreigners who do this.”

“Locals are not even allowed to sell mangos at the traffic light. I don’t know what to say if these foreigners are not prohibited from performing there.”

To those in Penang, have you spotted the couple recently? What do you think of this?
