A Malaysian man sought help from commuters on the LRT train recently, claiming that he was being followed and threatened with murder.

In a viral TikTok video, the unidentified man claimed that his brother sent two men to follow him, who were also on board the train during the incident. The visibly frightened man told the passengers to circulate the matter on social media, and claimed that his brother registered his name on an insurance policy without his consent, so that the brother can claim the money when he’s gone.

The man also pointed to 2 other individuals in the neighbouring carriage, who were allegedly following him.

“Please, they’ve been following me since morning. Please save me, my brother has sent people to kill me.”

“No one is helping me. I’ve lodged a police report.”

According to the police report that was lodged last night (Tuesday, August 5) at the Dang Wangi Police Station in KL, the man said that he had no idea about the type of insurance that was registered using his name. He also highlighted that he does not have a good relationship with his family members.

“If I die, I don’t want my family members to get the money. I want the money to be channelled to Zakat (charity).”

He also said that the report was made out of fear for his safety.

Unfortunately, the TikTok user who shared the video has no further information, including the fate of the man. In the comment section, however, RapidKL responded and asked for the date and time of the incident. At the time of writing (August 6), PDRM in KL has yet to issue a statement on the matter.

Stay tuned as we keep you updated.
