Former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak took to Facebook admitting his mistake for breaching standard operating procedure (SOP) while visiting a popular chicken rice shop in Kuala Lumpur.

in his Facebook status he writes, “I acknowledge the criticisms I have received for my actions.”

“With regards to my ‘check-in’ status, arrangements have been made so as to ensure that I entered the shop and sat straightaway.”

“However due to the arrangements made, I did not perform the proper SOP when visiting the shop.”

Isn’t that a breath of fresh air – a politician admitting his mistakes.

“I usually adhere to the SOP.”

“I urge the authorities to issue me a summon for my mistakes.”

Understanding that the compound for not scanning the MySejahtera app is RM1,500, Najib aims to pay it within 7 days to ensure that he gets the early bird 50% discount.

“There are no double standards in my book. I would also like to assure the public that I continuously perform Covid-19 test and results have been negative thus far.

Let’s hope that Najib’s actions be emulated by other politicians, especially those who continuously deny having to break SOPs in their day-to-day activities.
