The case of a missing boy in Kluang, Johor, was solved by the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) recently after he was found at his friend’s house safe and sound.
The 14-year-old boy’s family had lodged a police report about his disappearance on 5 November, prompting the Kluang District Police to issue a public statement urging the public to help with the search for the boy.
The missing boy was actually at his friend’s house to play the PlayStation 2
Earlier today, the Kluang District Police announced that the missing case had been solved, as the boy, Muhammad Syawal, has been found.
MalaysiaGazette quoted Kluang District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Bahrin Mohd Noh as saying that the boy wasn’t actually missing but was only loitering and staying at his friend’s house to play games on the PlayStation 2.
Bahrin asserted,
“The boy was reported missing from his house at Jalan Dahlia, Kampung Melayu in Kluang and was found safe and sound early morning yesterday. Throughout his disappearance, he was at his friend’s house in the same Kampung.”

Moreover, the boy was seen by his parents to be inside their house at around 3.30am and told his parents that he was at his friend’s house to play games on the PlayStation 2.
The boy added that he actually had returned home during his ‘disappearance’ to shower and eat, but the parents weren’t home at that time.
According to his mother, the family had searched for the boy at the homes of his relatives, neighbours and friends but to no avail.
