The Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) has recently announced on their Facebook page that they will be holding an auction organised by the Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department (NCID). This upcoming auction is meant to sell off the jewellery and watches that the police had confiscated and proven to have been purchased using illegal income selling drugs.
These items were forfeited to the government and after some time, they would be sold off in an auction to the highest bidder. Auctions like these have been held with great success in the past, with bidders rushing to the venue to get their hands on the luxury items. Many of them do not mind the dangerous past that these items have and a lot of them are planning to resell or melt down the jewellery.

PDRM also released the list of assets they have on sale and they certainly look interesting! There will be a total of 139 items on sale including several Rolex watches with the most expensive one priced at RM61,160, Longines watches and tons of jewellery. These include a necklace that has a locket with red eyes priced at RM15,500. However, there are plenty of other cheaper items that have price tags that go for as low as RM30 or RM40. This haul is not as impressive as a certain raid that took place after GE14 of course!
No images of the items were shared but you are free to drop by the police headquarters in Kuala Lumpur for a viewing and to register for the auction on October 16 and 17 from 9.30am to 1pm. Do remember to bring your MyKad along and your deposit money in the form of a bank draft or postal order. Anyone can attend!
